In the rear view 2013

January
There was the most beautiful snow on the ground in January in Eastern Washington and this was also one of my favorite outfits from the past winter.
I got engaged January 2nd right before Clark went back to Fort Bragg because his leave was up. He almost ran out of time... it was so sweet and he was so nervous.
I started my own business and opened an Etsy shop. This photo is one of the first product photos I took. Glad they have gotten better.
February
Clark and I celebrated Valentine's Day apart but he sent my these lovely flowers and made this awesome card.
I celebrated my 21st birthday in Seattle with my favorite girlfriends and at the family style restaurant Bucca di Beppos.
We did the Harlem Shake at UW. Remember when the Harlem Shake was a thing?
March
I designed these cards for my bridesmaids and maid of honor and now they are one of the best sellers in my card shop.
One of my favorite spring outfits and my absolutely favorite place to take outfit photos at when I was living in Seattle at the University of Washington.
April
I made a custom stamp for my shop and I still use it to this day. Definitely a fun and useful DIY.
I visited Augusta, Georgia again (went for Thanksgiving 2012) and visited Clark while he was in AIT.
Clark graduated from AIT in Augusta, GA then headed off to Columbus, GA then later got stationed in Fayetteville, NC (where we are now).
May
My mom through my a bridal shower in Eastern WA with my friends and family from back home.
My mom and I participated in the Bloomsday race for the third year in a row. It was a great time and we enjoyed every second of it since we don't know when we will get to do it again.
June
My friends through my an awesome Bachelorette Party in downtown Seattle. Seattle is a good city. One of my favorites.
Spent my last day at the University of Washington cleaning my dorm and packing.
Visited North Carolina for the first time ever. Looked for apartments and applied for an apartment and signed a lease since I would be moving to Fayetteville, NC in July.
July
Clark and I got married July 5th at 4:30 in the afternoon. It was the perfect little ceremony and great reception afterward. It was a lovely summer day and I really had a great time and only one mini meltdown.
My trip across the country from Washington State to North Carolina with my best friend from high school. We had such a fun time and did the trip in a total of 5 days. I think it will be one of those times I always remember. I can even tell me children "I once drove all the way across the country."
A morning in our bedroom in our first (only, and currently living in) apartment.
One of the first walks we went on in the area by our apartment and now this foresty area is one of my favorites.
August
We visited the coast. Myrtle Beach and Wilmington in August. I was dying to get to the beach. We spent 3 days in Myrtle Beach and 1 day in Wilmington. It was a great time and a few summer days well spent.
I visited Clark in Georgia on Labor Day weekend. He was in airborne school in Columbus GA. But we had a great time. We went to a Hot Air balloon Festival and Providence Canyon.
September
We went to the International Folk Festival which was held in Fayetteville, NC. I got to hold a parrot  on my shoulder, it was pretty darn cool.
We celebrated Clark's 21st birthday. Yep I am married to a younger man. Younger by about 6 months. Guys I am a rebel ;)
We also visited the local county fair which was pretty janky. But we had fun walking, talking, and watching people.
October
We got the cutest puppy ever! And Hell Ya I am biased but really isn't he just the cutest. Check out Knox's personal tag to see all the post he is in and watch him grow. I still can't get enough of his little puppy cuteness.
We visited the Blue Ridge Parkway and Grandfather Mountain and saw everything that the North Carolina mountains had to offer. Even though I definitely want to go back.
We went to a pumpkin patch and picked pumpkins with our sweet little pup. And then had a great Halloween.
Halloween was great, we carved our pumpkins and did our first couple costume. The princess and the pea.
November
We visited a cotton field and also went to the North Carolina cotton festival in November.
I did my first craft show and it was totally a bust. I definitely learned a lot about picking shows and selling to my target market.
Clark, Knox and I enjoyed a great fall day at the park.
December
We went to Dicken's Holiday in downtown Fayetteville the weekend after Thanksgiving to jump start the holiday season.
We flew home to Washington State and enjoyed several days with our family and old friends. It was such a good time and I can't wait for my family to come down here and see were we live.
This is the photo I sent out for our Christmas card this year. These photos were taken downtown Fayetteville in the Old Town Hall.

I can honestly say that 2013 was a really great year and I am super excited about 2014 and what it will bring. I am hoping to travel and see places I never have before, I also hope that my greeting card shop Little Sloth continues to grow, and I am also hoping to start more tradition with Clark and our pup Knox.

Very Merry Christmas

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The photo you see above is the photo I included in our Christmas cards. I sent out about 10 Christmas greeting cards and included this photo, just to close family and some close friends. For the photo I just put two photo and made a 4x6 photo in Photoshop and printed them out at a Kodak kiosk at Target. I like the quality. Anyways, just wanted to say Merry Christmas.

Family Christmas photos

So this is becoming a new tradition. Since I take photographs (wouldn't call myself a photographer.) Clark's mom asked me to take some family photos so she could put together a Christmas card. And we are all Wengel's this year (you know because Clark and I got married in July.) It was fun and kind of last minute. But I am glad she remembered and glad we got some taken and put in a Christmas card. I really want to do a Christmas card with Clark, Knox, and I. I guess I should get on that huh.
I also really like this last photo even though it is a little blurry. Here are the photos from last Christmas. We went with the Army theme last year since it was Clark's first year in the military. The backgrounds are the same in for this year and last. My mother in law has the cutest cabin in the woods and that is where these photos were taken. And here is the Christmas card that Clark's mom is sending out this year. love, Carlee
